Whereas the last episode saw Rick with some harsh words for Ron, this time Carol pulls no punches when it comes to Rons younger brother, Sam. Finding him sat on her front steps, she bluntly says, Your dad used to hit you and then he got himself killed. It happened, now its done. You live with it or it eats you up. It was stark, no-nonsense and maybe just a tad harsh on the young lad. Of course, Carol and Sam had a slightly odd relationship in Season 5, with her often threatening the boy. This all started when innocent (if not a little snoopy) Sam found Carol trying to steal some guns. In a typical 'Crazy Carol' moment, she proceeded to warn him that if he told anyone of what he saw then she'd tie him to a tree and let the walkers nibble on. She then bizarrely offered him some cookies in return for his silence.
