14. Making An Example

Whilst the early moments of Last Day on Earth saw Rick and his group of survivors heading in directions that would all land at Negan’s door, we also got to see some poor sap stalked by some of Negan’s Saviors.

This poor fella was chased through woodland, through roads, and left beaten and bloody. As the head of this arm of The Saviors put it, he was to be an example. Not an example to his own people, though. No, this doomed soul was destined to be an example for something else, for someone else.

As the episode played out, it would become crystal clear that this guy was being set up as a horrific example to Rick Grimes as to just what happens when you cross paths with The Saviors.
