When we saw Morgan in Season 3, he was mentally unstable after the passing of his own son at the hands of his zombified wife, setting traps all over the town and talking about how it's his job to clear. Rick tried to get him to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but Morgan stayed behind, as if none of it has sunk in. Now we see the roles have been reversed, with Morgan taking a cool, calm composure into any situation, even combat. Morgan has a new respect for human life, similarly to Daryl, as we even saw in the opening scene of the Season 5 finale with Morgan protecting the men who tried to kill him. While the season 6 premiere seems to indicate that the trailers conned us into thinking that Rick and Morgan would be at odds this season, considering most of those scenes were actually between Rick and Carter, you should probably still expect them to be up against each other. Not only is Morgan going to try to get Rick to come to his senses this time around, hes also making his rounds with other members of the group. As mentioned, he immediately saw something in Carol, and he seems to be winning people like Michonne over with his comedic side, with a remark about a missing peanut butter protein bar. Morgan is quickly becoming a major cast member, despite the season premiere only being his sixth episode, and two of those were just post-credit scenes. Were all really excited to see how he fits in as a member of the group, and if people will stay loyal to Rick or side with Morgan when the time comes to potentially pick someone as a leader.
