It's easy to lose the side-stories under the sheer weight of Negan's arrival, but Carol and Morgan's few scenes together were powerful. Their storylines have gradually intertwined to the point where they're at a bizarrely similar stage.

At the beginning of Season 6, Carol was a confident killer and Morgan was the peace-bringer. The finale saw him firing shots to save her, and Carol was left crushed under the weight of her guilt. It's interesting that their wildly different stances have culminated in a strange compromise for both characters.
