4. Good Friends With Jesus

The Kingdom is part of a trading network with the Hilltop Community, and as a part of that a friendship is formed between Ezekiel and Paul Monroe, aka Jesus.

The pair are shown to get along well and seem to respect each other, although Jesus does also comment on how trading with the Kingdom can be more of a hindrance than a help, and expresses concerns over Ezekiel's leadership skills.

It's Jesus who introduces Ezekiel to Rick, and from there the groups can all start working together. This may be different in the show, since Morgan and Carol will be arriving their first in Season 7, and may tell Ezekiel about Alexandria.
