The Walking Dead Season 7: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best
The good, the bad, and the just plain boring from the seventh season of The Walking Dead.
The dust has started to settle on The Walking Dead's seventh season, which ended not with a bang nor a whimper, but somewhere inbetwixt the two: a rallying cry for war that left us wanting less talk, more action.
It capped off what was one of the weakest runs in the show's history, if not quite falling towards Season 2 levels. It started off with over-the-top sadism, which gave way to complete boredom.
It did have its moments, as Rick fought one of the coolest walkers we've seen yet, and Shiva got to kill some Saviours, but ultimately felt like an entire season of filler; a prologue to the story they'll be telling next season.
One of the problems with the season was the sheer amount of characters on offer. With six different communities, there was a ridiculous number of people to try and cram into the season. Some characters, aided by previous development and great acting, managed to rise above this and have genuinely good arcs or plenty of memorable moments. Others were a chore to watch, or just completely detestable (for the wrong reasons), and some just totally forgettable.
Honourable Mentions: Glenn And Abraham
There's not really much that can be said about these two beloved characters in terms of Season 7, since all they did was kneel and then get killed. Glenn's death was slightly marred by the ridiculous eyeball, but his cry of "Maggie" was still poignant, while Abraham got to go out in style with a "Suck. My. Nuts."
