16. Maggie

Before the season started, Maggie would've been a better bet for a character to kill off. Not a favourite by any means, unlike her husband, but there was at least a chance it would happen.

Theoretically there still is, but it wouldn't make a lick of sense. Maggie has devastatingly lost Glenn, but has shown great resilience to keep on fighting, to the point where she's the de facto leader of the Hilltop.

Lauren Cohan's performance continues to impress, and Maggie is the most well-rounded leadership figure on the show. Coupled with the facts that a) she's pregnant, b) she has a big part to play in the fight against Negan beyond Season 7, and c) she's only beginning to realise her potential, killing her off would be a big mistake - but not one I see the show making.
