3. What Do The Whisperers Want?

While Evolution has left TWD viewers asking many questions, this one is perhaps the greatest of them all. What are the Whisperers after? Or, more specifically: what do they want?

Every great character in every great drama series requires a goal, and it's easy to see that The Whisperers are no different. As he killed Jesus, one of the walker-wearing individuals whispered to the long-haired warrior, telling him that he was where he didn't belong. While the meaning behind this has yet to be explained on the show, it does suggest that they're a territorial bunch of guys. Could we perhaps see the villains attempt to take control of one of our survivors' settlements so that they can have it for themselves? It's possible.

If this does prove to be their motivation, then let's hope the writing holds up because we've seen villains with this same goal a few of times on the series already. Negan, for example, made a name for himself by taking control of people's places and things, so hopefully the writers will give The Whisperers a slightly different goal.

Either way, The Whisperers are a new type of antagonist for the show, and that in itself is a breath of fresh air.
