6. The Premiere Date For Season 9

The Walking Dead usually remains off the air until late October. Perhaps it's because the show likes to return at Halloween, or perhaps its because AMC usually like to let Fear The Walking Dead finished out its season before airing The Walking Dead.

However, this time around, the show is returning slightly earlier. During the San-Diego Comic-Con panel, a premiere date of October 7th was revealed to the people in attendance, which was then was further confirmed at the end of the trailer.

We've had plenty of time to recover from the mediocre Season 8 finale, where the all-out war between the Alexandrians and the Saviours (a war that was three-years in the making) proved to be a colossal disappointment. With a new showrunner and a new direction, The Walking Dead will likely appear very different when it returns to our screens on October 7th. Here's hoping, anyway.
