6. It's No Surprise That In 2016, Mulder Can't Work A Phone
Somehow, it just seems to fit. Despite all his experience with alien technology and nanotech and alien-human hybrids and everything else, Fox Mulder can't work the new camera app on his phone, triggering the flash time and again while trying to catch a glimpse of the were-monster he's hunting down - and at one point even flipping the camera and accidentally taking a video selfie. In the context of a comedy episode, it's silly, basic humour, but it actually works, especially with Mulder playing the dorky, fat-thumbed role. And realistically, when have we ever seen Mulder be a whiz with technology? That's what the Lone Gunmen were for.
