Is it our confusing road signs? Guys, you're flying a spaceship, there's only one rule, don't hit the freaking planet! My Struggle featured a pretty decent (for television) CGI crash of a UFO, followed by a superb practical set, the centre piece of which was obviously the crashed ship - built to scale by the prop masters behind the show. This fifty foot reconstruction of a crashed alien ship, in the classic 1940s style, is the sort of endeavor that makes us really love the X-Files: they could have cheated on this, and no one would have complained. It's not that key to the episode, after all, and is really only seen a handful of times - yet they still went out of their way to make it perfect. Credit where credit is due.
