Dana Scully carries alien DNA within her. This, we can assume comes from her abduction - remember back then talks about 'branch DNA" - and the experiments done on her. It's something that was brought up again in My Struggle, and in My Struggle Part 2, it's built on. Apparently, Scully has begun to question what this means for her. The opening teaser features Scully going over her history with the X-Files unit, just as the first episode of the pair had Mulder doing the same.
