The immediate reaction to this shot is that it's an alien hand. The ambiance is right, the colour tone is right. It's quite similar to shots we have seen before on the show involving alien beings. Yet looking at it closer, something is off. It's too human, for one. The fingers aren't elongated enough to match up with previous alien images seen on the show, and then there's that pesky, obviously human thumb. So is this a hybrid of some sort? Or something else entirely?
