DC's Titans has been progressing at a rather slow pace, sparingly developing the plot each week. Last week's instalment allowed us to get up close and personal with the demons haunting some of our core group of superheroes, while giving us a little more insight into the mystery surrounding Raven's origins. However, it was, in many ways, merely a precursor to the most important episode of the season so far.

This week's outing, 'Doom Patrol', saw the possessed Raven retreat into the woods where she encountered Beast Boy (in Tiger form). But that wasn't the only person she encountered. As you can probably guess by the title, the episode also saw the introduction of the Doom Patrol, continuing the show's unusual trend of introducing secondary characters very early on (following Hawk & Dove), as the iconic DC faction also took an interest in Raven.

While it may have taken a break from the main storyline, this week's instalment provided us all with some much-needed answers about the show, adding depth to thinly-written characters and gravity to the entire situation. Contains spoilers.
