If you watched the finale without context, you could be forgiven for mistaking Slade Wilson for nothing more than a secondary villain because, well, that's exactly what he was here.

Resurfacing in a bid to put the Titans down once and for all, he was eventually confronted by Dick (in full Nightwing gear) and later, his daughter Rose, before he eventually went down at the duo's command.

Having him show up in the first couple of minutes certainly provided the episode with an effective opener, but his quick defeat completely undermined the season-long arc. It was a footnote in an episode that became all about Cadmus which, until a few weeks ago, wasn't even on the Titans' radar.

Make no mistake, this was not the fitting finale that Deathstroke or this storyline deserved.
