15. A Fistful of Paintballs (Season 2, Episode 23)
This is such a strong, exciting opener to the finale you might be surprised its not higher. Everyone has their moment, and Josh Holloway of Lost and MI:4 fame rocks up in a fantastic appearance as The Black Rider. You feel real tension in the group, especially concerning Pierce. It sets up a great conclusion, with a goosebumps-inducing ending. The use of flashback is excellent here, and the music is amongst some of Göranssons best.
14. Basic Rocket Science (Season 2, Episode 4)
Its the study group in a KFC space mission simulator. Whats not to like? The highlights are the debut of the butt flag (E Pluribus Anus), Troys haphazard attempts to show he is the captain of the ship, Pierces claustrophobia and paranoia towards a pixelated Colonel Sanders, as well as Abed trying to guide them all safely back home. Its just bonkers, genius, and again gives everyone a moment to shine.
