Voltron: Legendary Defender - 6 Things You Need To Know About Season 3
6. It's Coming To Netflix On August 4th
While fans have known about the existence of Season 3 since late February, when they'd be able to watch it was something of a mystery until the unexpected release of the teaser trailer. Early rumors suggested a release date sometime in September 2017, but it turns out we'll be able to stream all thirteen episodes a months sooner.
Netflix released Seasons 1 and 2 on June 10, 2016 and January 20, 2017, respectively. With the Season 3 release date now confirmed as August 4, 2017, fans should consider the delay of seven months between seasons the norm. If the seven month production schedule continues, we may be seeing Season 4 some time in March 2018.
Studio Mir is still at the helm of production, with executive producers Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery, along with lead writer Tim Hedrick heading the project.
The main voice cast is also returning—Steven Yuen (Keith), Jeremy Shada (Lance), Tyler Labine (Hunk), Bex Taylor-Klaus (Pidge), Josh Keaton (Shiro), Kimberly Brooks (Allura), and Rhys Darby (Coran).
