We're Finally Getting A New Screen Ghost Rider

Agents Of SHIELD theory suggests the fiery anti-hero may appear...

When the Agents Of SHIELD Comic-Con advertisement featured a flaming chain, it was widely assumed by some fans that it belonged to Hellfire, thanks to his existing relationship with Skye and his former appearance in season 3. That would surely be easier to pull off than the alternative - Ghost Rider - making his debut on the show, right?

Well, that might not be quite so certain as a new casting notice suggests that the skeleton headed hellion is appearing in the forthcoming season (or at least a version of him).

The notice lists a pair of Latino brothers, one of whom is "the most dangerous person in the room" while the other is "paralyzed in a wheelchair". That would seem to point to Robbie and Gabe Reyes, the stars of the Marvel NOW! Ghost Rider series.

That would mean that the show could bring in Ghost Rider without having to stand on the toes of Johnny Blaze (who hopefully will be given his own series or movie now that the rights are back with Marvel). And it would presumably delight more modern Marvel fans, and those who believe there's screen life in the Ghost Rider character beyond what Nic Cage did to him.
