28. Teddy's A Host

Teddy is the closest thing we get to a hero in the premiere. Played by James Marsden, he's the classic Hollywood hero of old, strong-jawed and full of easy charm.

Given the way he enters the park on the train, we assume he's a newcomer, making him the human protagonist of the story.

Except, well, he gets 'killed', and it turns out that ol' Teddy is actually a host. It was an early shock, and it set a precedent that would lead to an even bigger one.
