Love him or hate him, Matt Smith is leaving the show; his final episode will be the Christmas Special. To me, Matt has returned some Classic Who to the rebooted show. He emulates Troughton with his own little twist on The Doctor so beautifully. Silly, fun, mad, quirky... and absolutely terrifying when he needs to be. Nightmare In Silver gave Matt the opportunity to let loose and show his true potential - and he was amazing. I was on the edge of my seat. Having said that, I was hooked on his quirky humour from the moment he appeared and shouted "LEGS", before crashing into young Amelia's garden. Matt will be sorely missed by many. He stepped into Tennant's Converse and proved that he didn't need to be as good as - or even better than - any Doctor before him. He only had to be himself, and he has been incredible. Who will be the next Doctor? Thatis the question. Whoever they are, they have some big boots to fill, and a bow tie might not suit them. Let's all hope that Twelve will be classy and that we discover exactly who John Hurt's Doctor is.
