14. Sir Reginald Hargreeves (The Monocle)

In The Comics

The secret alien benefactor and "father" figure of the Academy is a fairly typical sort of Lord, complete with a fabulous moustache, slightly wild hair (what remains of it and a costume that combines smoking room comfort and the quirks of a school uniform, so he fits in with his young charges.

In the comics, he has a bodyguard and assistant called Abhijat, who also piloted his craft The Minerva, but neither made it into the show.

In The Show

Played by Colm Feore, the show's version of Sir Reginald is a fairly close iteration of the comics character, only sporting a Van Dyke beard to go along with his moustache. His clothes are also more Russian dignitary than Gentleman's Club connoisseur.
