William Shatner To Host Have I Got News For You

William Shatner has been confirmed as a host on BBC's Have I Got News For You. Famous for his role as Captain Kirk in Star Trek, Shatner will join regular stars Ian Hislop and Paul Merton and special guests Andy Hamilton and Charlie Brooker on the show. But there is traditionally a difference between British and American humour. So how will the 81-year-old actor keep up with his British co-stars? Responding to the news, William Shatner said;

"English sense of humour is different from American sense of humour. Luckily, I'm Canadian."

Have I Got News For You is currently in its 43rd series and is a panel quiz show dealing with the weeks news. Other presenter confirmed for the current series are Alexander Armstrong, Kirsty Young and former No.10 spin doctor Alaster Campbell. As for William Shatner, he has just finished his one man show ''Shatner's World: We Just Live In It.'' He will also be one of the headline stars at the Star Trek London event taking place at the ExCel Center in October.
