Disney are going full Oprah with their dishing out of Marvel TV shows, with the announcement that a female-led superhero series in the works at ABC coming just a day after it was confirmed a number of MCU-set limited series would feature on the Mouse House's streaming service.

According to Variety, who also broke the news of shows about Loki and Scarlet Witch, the new series is in the works at ABC, and is being developed by Allan Heinberg, who wrote the screenplay for last year's DC hit, Wonder Woman.

There's no word yet on which superheroes will be involved, just that it'll be a female-led series, but since it's on ABC - and being set up under the Marvel TV banner, rather than Studios - it'll presumably feature characters we haven't seen on the big screen yet, unlike the shows being developed for the streaming service.

With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ending next year and Disney's online platform launching then too, it was unclear whether ABC would continue making new Marvel series, but it seems the partnership is set to continue, assuming this goes ahead anyway.
