X-Men '97: 10 New Villains We Want To See

10. Vulcan

When Cyclops was a boy, his parents were abducted by the Sh'iar Empire. Unbeknownst to Cyke, his mother was pregnant with a son called Gabriel. Born with the X-gene, Gabriel developed the power to create and control energy.

When Professor Charles Xavier learned of Gabriel, now calling himself Vulcan, he brought him into the X-Men, hoping he could help his students on a dangerous mission. When Cyclops met Vulcan, he was overjoyed to learn he had a long-lost brother.

But when Vulcan was seemingly killed, Cyclops was left inconsolable. Believing it would've best if Cyclops never met Gabriel, Xavier wiped his mind so he had no recollection of his sibling.

Sadly, Vulcan misconstrued Xavier's actions and assumed he was left for dead. Enraged, he vowed to destroy the professor and everything he cared about.

Implementing Vulcan into X-Men '97 would be a great idea since he's exceptionally powerful and has a personal connection with the uncanny X-Men. Also, bringing him into the fold would allow the series to re-incorporate Cyclops' other brother, Alex AKA Havok. Although he appeared in X-Men: The Animated Series, his connection with Cyclops was never mentioned.

And because Vulcan's origin is tied with the Sh'iar, injecting him into the new show would be an easy way to reintroduce Lilandra, Gladiator, D'Ken, and Cyclops' father, Corsair.
