4. Cersei's Story Gets "F**king Dark!"

Season 5 saw the fall of Cersei Lannister: with Joffrey and Tywin dead, Jaime off in Dorne, and the High Sparrow taking over, the Queen Regent had her power, and then her clothes, stripped away from her. 

After spending part of the season in a cell for her sins, she eventually managed to free herself by confessing to half her crimes and then undertaking the Walk of Shame to the Red Keep. Naked, bloody, and covered in the remains of whatever the people of King's Landing could find to throw at her, Cersei is taken to her lowest point. Then the process of building her back up begins. 

She's greeted at the Red Keep by her uncle Kevan, and the newest member of her Kingsguard, Ser Robert Strong - aka the reanimated remains of Gregor Clegane. 

With him by her side she's ready to take on the Faith, with a trial-by-combat on the cards, as evidenced by her delivery of the best line from the Season 6 trailer: "I choose violence." 

Lena Headey, who plays Cersei, told EW that Season 6 is "probably her most interesting season. She really has nothing to lose and she has everything to gain from a horrible position she finds herself in.”

That trailer also gave us a look at her reunion with twin/lover Jaime, and if their incestuous relationship wasn't weird enough already, then Headey has said it's going to some really strange places in Season 6:

"Her relationship with Jaime is at an all-time weird level. It’s juicy, and it’s so f**king dark.”
