While most fans have their eyes firmly set on the UFC's blockbuster card on 6 July 2019, there are still a plethora of exciting fights coming up over the next few months to keep them happy until the big summer show arrives.

The most exciting thing about this month's selection of fights is that it could cause major ranking changes in all the divisions. By the end of May, we could see new contenders staking their claim for a title shot or we could see the older generation making one last dash towards greatness.

Fighters like Cub Swanson, Rafael Dos Anjos and Jose Aldo who were at their best at the beginning of the decade will be trying to take out young guns such as Shane Burgos, Kevin Lee and Alex Volkanovski.

There are also some brilliant fights in the women's divisions that are guaranteed to be absolute barnburners. Highly rated featherweight Megan Anderson will look to solidify herself as the top contender for the women's 145lb belt, while undefeated prospect Aspen Ladd has her targets firmly set on the taking bantamweight gold as soon as possible.

If these fights live up to their potential it really could be a May to remember.

10. Megan Anderson Vs. Felicia Spencer - UFC Fight Night 151

Since Cris Cyborg lost her title to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 last December, the women's 145lb division has hit a bit of a rut. It's a division that's clearly crying out for fresh new blood, as it's at risk of falling into pub quiz levels of obscurity sooner rather than later.

However, there are hopes that talented Australian striker, Megan Anderson, could be the face of the division. She's certainly got the look of a fighter and has some solid striking fundamentals. When she's on the offensive, she mixes up her punches, elbows and kicks well and is quite accurate. She's also got some great physical attributes that give her an advantage over many of her opponents.

That being said, her movement can look a little robotic and not as fluid as you'd expect from a fighter at her level. In her fight against Cat Zingano, Zingano looked much faster than her and that could be her downfall in the future.

Luckily for her, Felicia Spencer doesn't really possess the sort of speed that would cause her problems. She's got some decent grappling skills and is quite powerful, but it shouldn't be enough to cause Anderson too much trouble.
