10 Doctor Who Deleted Scenes You Need To See

10. Doctor In The TARDIS!

Even before he played the Doctor, Peter Capaldi was one of the biggest Doctor Who fans you could ever meet. So it must've been an absolute joy for him to finally spend some time on that glorious TARDIS set.

That joy is on full display in this brief cut from Series 8 finale Death in Heaven, in which the Twelfth Doctor fizzes around the console room with the energy and curiosity of a toddler in a toy shop, flicking buttons and pulling levers to his heart's content.

Honestly, it's not clear whether this is a deleted scene, or just Capaldi on one of his days off.

The best bit however comes right at the end, when the camera does a rapid zoom right into the Doctor's face and he lets out a gleeful, "Doctor in the TARDIS!"

It's silly, it makes no sense, and if it was left in the episode, it probably wouldn't have worked. But in isolation it's pure lovable madness, and it's fun to see a Doctor with such a prickly reputation just let his hair down for a moment.
