10. An Electrolarynx

The Kane seen on today’s WWE product is a mere caricature of ‘The Big Red Machine’ from the Attitude Era. His outfits have flames on them, but there’s no fire anymore. He heads to the ring in tights and boots like any other wrestler, and he speaks like any other wrestler.

Of course, back when he first arrived on the scene, it was a completely different story. The conservative ring attire and mask covered his disfigured flesh, which was marred by a house fire. He couldn’t even speak without an electrolarnyx.

Then one fateful night in 1999, most of Kane’s character was thrown away with two simple words. Finding himself allied with X-Pac, he uttered his first words without the aid of the voice box: “Suck It.”

A month later, The Rock felt Kane was much better off with the electrolarynx and offered to attach it to him more permanently - granted the location wouldn’t help him with dialogue.
