John Cena gets a lot of stick and the majority of it is frankly unwarranted. However, there is one particular angle Cena deserves to be reviled for and that was how he single-handedly derailed The Nexus storyline, following one of the hottest angles WWE produced in years- that being their debut. Smashing up the ringside area, attacking the announcers, destroying the ring, the infamous Justin Roberts tie-choking incident which wasn't actually that bad. It was hot, shocking and the perfect debut. At Summerslam 2010, John Cena made the decision to get the planned finish- that being a Nexus victory- changed to see him as the sole-survivor. In the months that followed, Cena's eventual joining of the group, refusal to wear any of their gear and overshadowing of Barrett's potential WWE Title win with an awful €œfiring€ angle which saw him miss not a single episode of Raw, saw the Nexus' momentum well and truly derailed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVVtqoqzgNw&feature=player_detailpage#t=746 Cena has since admitted he was mistaken to refuse to job to the Nexus at Summerslam and he was.
