10 Actors And The Wrestlers They Could Portray
Jason Momoa and Channing Tatum were MADE to be Vince McMahon's top guys...
The stories pro wrestling has given us over the years, both in the ring and behind the curtain, could provide a Hollywood scriptwriter with enough material for several major motion pictures.
While Hollywood has already begun to dip its toe into the wrestling biopic waters, with films like Fighting with my Family, there are still countless tales left to tell.
Of course, bringing the world of professional wrestling to life on the big screen means finding the perfect actors and actresses to portray some of the most iconic characters ever created. This could prove quite challenging for even the most resourceful casting agent.
That being said, there are several talented, high-profile thespians who would be more than capable of portraying WWE's biggest stars.
So, with that in mind, it's time to have a bit of fun and play the role of casting agent for a (completely fictional) upcoming WWE film. This movie will be a star-studded affair with an unlimited casting budget.
With that in mind, it is now time to find out which well-known performers will be playing your favorite WWE Superstar.
10. Gary Busey/Ric Flair
Ric Flair is perhaps the most flamboyant, over-the-top personality professional wrestling has ever seen — both on and off-screen. The 16-time world champ is a legend in the business and one of the most recognized entertainers in any genre.
In truth, in the age of the internet, any actor selected to play a figure as iconic as 'The Nature Boy' would be met with a great deal of scrutiny. However, there is one man who is up to the task — Gary Busey.
It only makes sense for one of the wildest men in Hollywood to tackle a personality as large as Ric Flairs. In truth, the former Point Break actor should be able to relate to a character like Flair, who is a bit of wild child that enjoys the nightlife. Though he's settled down a bit these days, the now-seventy-five-year-old actor liked to party hard and lived a lifestyle similar to that of Flairs.
Moreover, it's incredibly easy to imagine Gary Busey letting out a loud 'Wooooo!' in one of the 'Nature Boy's' signature robes.
Flair has some big shoes to fill, but Busey could potentially 'style and profile' his way to an Academy Award if he ever decided to tackle the role.
