7. The Public Enemy

Best known for their work in ECW and WCW, Johnny Grunge and Rocco Rock weren't exactly a pair of master technicians, but they weren't trying to be. The Public Enemy were a lower-card pump-up act designed to pop crowds early on, and their wild brawling style got them over huge with the ECW faithful. Their WWE run, however, was a blink-and-you'll-miss it affair, with Rock and Grunge lasting only a few weeks under Vince McMahon's employ.

Backstage heat was largely to blame. It reportedly stemmed from the team's decision to choose WCW over WWE when both promotions were pursuing them a few years prior, and without their peers' acceptance, they were up against it from day one.

The Public Enemy debuted in February, wrestling The Brood on Raw, before entering a short feud with The Acolytes. Said stroyline was the source of their most infamous moment. The duo told Faarooq and Bradshaw that they weren't willing to cooperate with a planned finish on Sunday Night Heat, so the APA turned it into a shoot, legitimately beating the tar out of PE to the extent that the referee was forced to call a disqualification.
