Sometimes in wrestling matches, there's a sense that fans are sitting around waiting for the wrestlers to kick into a higher gear and motor towards the end sequence. Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor noticeably quickened towards the closing moments, but it didn't feel forced. There was a fluidity about the match which helped make the opening minutes feel as valid as the end. When the end did come, it was worth the wait. On several occasions, Joe threatened to blast Balor with his trademark Muscle Buster finishing move. Each time, the champion managed to escape his grasp. Much like they did during the entire card, the commentary team did a good job of selling the fine margins which exist in big matches such as this one. If Balor had succumb to the move, there's a good chance he would have been beaten, in other words. Balor's top-rope double foot stomp, otherwise known as the Coup De Grace, will never look anything other than spectacular. It was a fitting ending to such a great wrestling match, made even better when Balor summoned the trainers to check him out post-match. Whether real or staged, this medical check sold the hard-hitting nature of the bout perfectly. What other 'awesome' moments did you glean from NXT TakeOver: London?
