10 Awesome WWE PPV Names That Should Return

9. In Your House

For all that "In Your House" lacks in terms of the title itself, it certainly makes up for with historical significance and a brand that was, at one time, part of the WWE fabric. It still may have its critics, but if one is being honest and has any integrity, the importance and impact that In Your House has had on WWE history is significant and undeniable. For one, it was the not-so-subtle title that prepared viewers to tailor their expectations for what might occur on the show. It never pretended to be WrestleMania, nor Survivor Series for that matter, but it was bigger than Monday Night RAW (which is more than can be said for many of today's PPVs). Also, In Your House was home to many firsts. The first Hell In A Cell match, the first singles-elimination match to occur on WWE television (Final Four) and the first Triple Header Match all took place at In Your House. It was also the setting for the first meetings of some of WWE's biggest superstars: Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker, Stone Cold vs. The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels vs. Mankind and so on. The In Your House brand is one that has a rich history that, in promoting the event, can be used to call back to superstars of the past. Every time the Royal Rumble or King Of The Ring comes around, WWE hypes the previous winners and tie-in the rich history of the PPV. In Your House could be used in the same way and, especially in the WWE Network era, make good use of nostalgia.
