10 Awful Wrestling Matches That Stunk Up Arenas

9. Jenna Morasca Vs. Sharmell - TNA Victory Road 2009

Morasca wasn't a pro wrestler by trade. That much was evident within the first minute of this trainwreck.

Morasca's first contribution was to botch a lock-up, following which she took a knee to the gut (which she no-sold). She did stay down for longer than a micro-second in the subsequent exchanges, but beyond that, the match devolved into a violation of the industry. Morasca didn't so much run the ropes as tap the top one lightly, as if undergoing a beep test.

Morasca did an abysmal job even of getting beaten down. Things descended from farce to insult when she eventually mounted some offence; she subjected Sharmell to a barrage of slaps so weak that her arms looked to have been made out of latex rubber.

The application and receipt of wrestling holds must be a very difficult skill to master - but aiming realistic slaps in the general vicinity of somebody's face is something even a primary school pupil can do.

The match ended with Morasca's ringside charge Awesome Kong striking Sharmell softly in the throat. Morasca then pinned her following a nonsensical strip routine, gyrating on her as Earl Hebner counts to three.

The ubiquitous "Fire Russo!" chants were never more appropriate.
