10 Best-Booked WWE Tag Teams Of The Last Decade

Putting ten years of WWE combos in perspective.

Let's be honest here: the glory days of the Hart Foundation, Demolition, and the British Bulldogs are so far in the past, that all six men would be main-eventing WCW were the company alive today. Even the ladder-jumping, table-smashing days of Edge and Christian, The Hardy Boyz, and The Dudley Boyz are almost a full generation in the past. To put it mildly, aside from 1986-1991, and maybe 1999-2002, the tag team division in the WrestleMania era hasn't exactly been given priority. The last ten years have produced a few notable tandems, but again, Vince McMahon's penchant for de-emphasizing the division, out of some Howard Hughes-esque phobia of promoting tag team wrestling, has made sustainably-good teams hard to come by. Sure, there have been some talented duos like Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, who did reign with the gold in 2015, but were unfortunately never treated like a big deal. Then you get the occasional 'super-team' like Rated-RKO, who did enjoy a few months of heavy use, but would be disbanded before long. To make this list, which is certainly a subjective one, longevity is important, with a couple notable exceptions. A sustained push to some degree is a virtual requirement. Even if said team wasn't in the spotlight, they had to be treated as somewhat hard to beat. Teams that revitalized the aimless careers of its members will also be considered. If their pairing gave either member, or both, a new lease on life, then that's a bonus. Here's what WWE's last decade has given to us in terms of relevant tag teams.
