10 Best Brock Lesnar WWE Raw Moments
10. The Debut - March 18 2002
After almost two years training in WWE developmental system Ohio Valley Wrestling and many months of competing in dark (untelevised) matches at WWE TV tapings, Brock Lesnar was finally given the go ahead to make his on-camera WWE debut on the post-WrestleMania X8 episode of Raw.
24 hours removed from the Showcase of the Immortals, the man who would soon be christened the 'Next Big Thing' gatecrashed a Hardcore Title match between Maven and Al Snow, laying waste to the Tough Enough men as well as an interfering Spike Dudley.
First he dropped Snow with a brutal spinebuster through a trash can and then he rocked Maven with an F5 before turning his attention to 'lil old Spike. Lesnar destroyed the runt of the Dudley litter with a harsh clothesline followed by a sickening triple powerbomb. It was quite the first impression.
Importantly, Lesnar did all of this while Paul Heyman - who had been absent from our screens since WWE won the Invasion at the Survivor Series in November 2001 - barked instructions from ringside. The next week on Raw, Lesnar was the No.8 draft pick for Raw during the initial WWE Draft, a surefire sign of intent.
Raw General Manager Ric Flair wasted little time in securing the services of the man who was destined to be the future of the business.
