10 Best Father & Son Team-Ups In Wrestling
10. Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio
The most recent example of a father and son pairing sharing wrestling screen time, is obviously Rey Mysterio and Dominik.
Given how the world itself is tinged in a consistent sense of groundhog day right now, it’s easy to forget that Dominik only had his formal in-ring debut less than six months ago. That in-ring bow would come back at last August’s SummerSlam PPV, where the 23-year-old would battle Seth Rollins following the Messiah’s removal of Rey’s eye.
With his father and uncle legendary wrestlers in their own right, one would hope that Dominik would have as good a chance as any of making it in the wrestling business, but time and time again we’ve seen that genetics and legacy don’t always translate to success for a budding superstar. For Dominik, though, it’s been a case ‘so far, so good’ in what we’ve seen from the young high-flyer to date.
Having had training from his father, Lance Storm, Konnan and Jay Lethal – and now with the WWE Performance Center at his disposal – there’s certainly plenty of upside to Dominik Mysterio. And for he and his iconic father Rey, they seem to be having a blast getting to be featured together on WWE programming - even more so, when it doesn't revolve around an angle over Dominik's parentage!
