Were going old school with our next pick. Born in Dublin, Pat Barrett is largely known for his bout with Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF title. While not a particularly long or memorable bout, Barrett can be proud that he was an opponent during one of the most illustrious title reigns in wrestling history. Barrett also held one half of the WWWF tag team championships for a couple of months before losing to the hall of famer duo The Blackjacks. A well travelled veteran at the end of his career, Barrett had wrestled in the NWA, WWWF and around the world before retiring in 1985. He passed on his knowledge by training young Irish upstarts and helped pave the way for many of todays bold and brightest from the old country.
