10 Best Opponents For Daniel Bryan At WWE WrestleMania 35
3. Kofi Kingston
Guys, I'm serious here, when I pitched this article, it was before SmackDown had aired, and I'm just now writing this after Kofi's incredible performance. My placing of him on this list just got a lot more justified.
In light of Mustafa Ali's removal from the Elimination Chamber due to injuries, Kofi Kingston was the surprise replacement in the gauntlet match to determine the final entrant in the aforementioned EC match. To the shock and wonder of everyone watching, Kingston delivered a legendary iron man performance, going over 60 minutes on free television, pinning Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.
Given that, yes, he did pin the champion, it would be wise to assume that Kofi has earned himself a title opportunity. Most would assume that with his midcard tag team status, he'd be slated to challenge Bryan at Fastlane. But what if WWE decided to be bold? Fans have been saying for years that Kofi should, if nothing else, be in the world title picture. What better way to elevate him than to put him against Bryan at WrestleMania?
At this point, Kofi has more momentum than ever after his incredible performance. It wouldn't be a bad decision at all for WWE to capitalize on it.
