10 Best Rivalries In NXT History
2. Sasha Banks Vs Bayley
This is the rivalry that helped put women's wrestling on the map.
Sasha Banks is one of the best heel performers in NXT's history. Her "Boss" character was mean, spiteful and determined to prove to everyone that she was the best. As for Bayley, well, she was the total opposite.
Happy, friendly, beloved by the fans, Bayley was the most popular star in the entirety of NXT during the summer of 2015. When she and Sasha began to butt heads over Banks' NXT Women's Championship, fans knew that they were going to get something incredible.
The match everyone remembers took place at the first TakeOver event in Brooklyn. Heralded by many as one of the finest women's matches in WWE's history, the two women set the Brooklyn crowd on fire and the match peaked perfectly with Bayley pinning Banks to become Women's Champion.
The duo continued to make history when they competed in a 30-minute Iron Man (or should that be "Iron Woman"?) at NXT TakeOver: Respect. This match was the first in WWE's history to main event a Network Special and helped pave the way for the Women's Evolution.
They may have both been flattened out on the main roster, but if you want to see why these women are regarded as trailblazers, check out some of their matches from 2015 and you'll have your answer.
