10 Best Simultaneous WWE Heavyweight Champions

2. John Cena (WWE) & The Undertaker (World) - 2007

A welcome return to form for The Undertaker in 2007 resulted in main events on both brands looking as healthy as they had in years after John Cena entered a critically acclaimed period between the ropes himself.

The two had lit up WrestleMania 23 against Batista and Shawn Michaels respectively, and though 'Taker would go on to trade the big gold belt with both Batista and Edge throughout a Cena run terminated by injury in October, he'd do so in shimmering fashion. Never in his epic run with the organisation had he somehow figured out how to have a transformative effect on the bell-to-bell side of the business, but this was a 'Deadman' walking, talking and working as if WWE's entire future depended on it.

Two years into his time at the top of the organisation, and that was already Cena's modus operandi. The aforementioned efforts against Great Khali et al notwithstanding, Cena's efforts were trumpeted by those forced to accepted his accession. McMahon's locker room leaders were telling and showing their underlings how to do it in ways he couldn't have predicted for either just a few short years earlier.
