The bloody battle between Daniel Garcia and Bryan Danielson on last week's episode of AEW Dynamite was another example of the company's star-making ability. Garcia's shock win over the 'American Dragon' will benefit the young superstar for years to come, as AEW has proven to make breakout performances matter.

The Jericho Appreciation Society member is only 23 years old and has already established himself as one of the most exciting and consistent wrestlers in the world. However, Garcia has now been minted by defeating one of the greatest wrestlers of all time in Danielson, which should set up the 'Red Death' as a future main event player.

AEW has rightfully earned the reputation of a promotion that values storytelling, which is clear in the numerous long-term sagas that exist in the company. It is also evident that in-ring storytelling is a strong point for the promotion, which has led to many examples of wrestlers entering star-making performances. Daniel Garcia is the latest example of this process and AEW will endeavor to make sure more wrestlers are showcased in the same way.

10. Miro - Vs. Darby Allin, AEW Dynamite 12/05/21

There was a great deal of expectation when Miro entered AEW as it was perceived his vast potential was squandered during his time in WWE. The former Rusev had garnered so much fan support throughout his WWE tenure, peaking during his 'Rusev Day' run alongside Aiden English. However, things did not work out for Rusev as the powers-that-be were insistent on making the 'Bulgarian Brute' a perennial midcard attraction.

When the 'Best Man' first arrived in AEW, it was a chance for Miro to live up to his potential as a superstar. Unfortunately, the gimmick alongside Kip Sabian was not the best use of his talents, which made the debut seem like somewhat of a misfire for a few months. After an excellent Arcade Anarchy match against the Best Friends - which almost made the lengthy feud worthwhile - Miro parted ways with Sabian to kickstart his push as a monster heel.

The righteous 'Redeemer' character was a marked turnaround that led to Miro quickly becoming the TNT Champion after defeating Darby Allin for the gold. 'God's Favourite Champion' managed to salvage his AEW debut and become a beloved figure in the company, with the TNT Championship win over Allin providing the launching point for such an improvement.
