10 Best Tag Team Title Matches Ever

Lots of ladders!

Tag team wrestling has had a complicated history in WWE. It's a well-known fact that Vince McMahon doesn't think tag teams draw, and more often than not, that's been evident in his booking. Though today, The New Day are among the most popular wrestlers in the company, for many years, the tag team division was comprised of castaway workers who weren't seen as potential headliners in their own right.

Still, there have been golden periods for tag team wrestling in the company's history, most notably during the early 2000s when Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz brought an as-yet-unseen level of athleticism to the division. Since then, teams like The World's Greatest Tag Team, The Usos, The Shield, and The New Day have continued on in that vein.

Even when outnumbered by the downs, those ups have produced some classic bouts over the years. As a result, there's no shortage of great tag team matches - many of them involving ladders - in the annals of WWE history. When titles - be they WWE Tag Team Titles, World Tag Team Titles, or any other set - are on the line, the stakes are even higher, and so is the excitement.

Here are the 10 best tag team title matches ever:

10. The Shield Vs. The Usos - Money In The Bank 2013

The Shield arrived on the scene in late 2012, and before long, they established themselves as one of the most dominant factions in WWE history. Part of that dominance involved capturing titles, and while Dean Ambrose reigned as United States Champion, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins defeated the previously unstoppable Team Hell No to capture the WWE Tag Team Titles.

The explosive young superstars had some truly exciting matches, bringing the same level of energy to their title defenses as they did in the Shield six-man bouts. The best match of their reign, though, didn't even happen on television or Pay-Per-View - it was the kickoff bout at the 2013 Money in the Bank show.

That evening, Rollins and Reigns took on the equally exciting Usos in a match that had fans chanting "This is awesome!" before the show even began. The clash saw high-flying from both tag teams, and 15 minutes of pure action building to an exciting finish. In the end, Reigns pinned Jimmy Uso after hitting a Spear.
