10 Best Tag Teams WWE Has Created Over The Past Decade
6. The Revival
Ideally, a good tag team can be described as better than the sum of its parts. While that may seem like a trite phrase, it's never as expertly displayed as it is with two-time NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival.
Both Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are relatively nondescript-looking grapplers without flashy moves or big personalities. They're fantastic workers, but we've seen a hundred fantastic workers die on the vine in WWE. Put together, though, they accentuate each other's strengths, and in the tag team division, they can show their true uniqueness.
The team was christened The Revival because they heralded a throwback to old-school tag team wrestling, and the name is apt. Dash and Dawson are absolute kings of the psychology that makes tag team wrestling different and great, eschewing the fancy stuff in favor of a dominant style that cuts the ring in half expertly. Both men are so young and so good, though, that their name is also ironic - clearly, The Revival is the future of tag team wrestling.
