The WWE are always eager to encourage celebrity involvement, but the sight of any non-wrestling figure - even one as renowned as Jon Stewart - interfering in a PPV title match seemed decidedly un-WWE. In fact, it was booking straight out of the WCW playbook, as New Meme Order pointed out with this meme of a proud Vince Russo. Although hardly as disastrous a decision as the one to put the WCW Heavyweight Championship on David Arquette, the sight of a celebrity having such a major influence in an incredibly important match did draw uncomfortable parallels.
