10 Best Ways AEW Can Book Sting
10. Darby Allin's Manager
When Darby Allin hit the scene a few years ago, people were quick to make comparisons between himself and Sting. Fans claimed that Allin must have been the crazy love child of Jeff Hardy and the Stinger, given the way he moved, spoke, and performed within the squared circle. Because of this, it was only appropriate that Sting debuted within AEW, by staring down his long lost son and acknowledging his existence.
However, while there are many similarities between the pair, we are in no way suggesting that AEW should go the Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan route and have a father and son story.
The All Elite company have made it almost a fully-fledged policy to take care of their veterans by pairing them with young stars and have them both as their manager and mentor. Jake Roberts has been great with Lance Archer, as has Tully Blanchard with Shawn Spears and FTR. So if Sting can't meet Darby in a one-on-one contest, then let's have the next best thing and have The Icon come on board as Darby's manager. Not only would it help Allin's growing supernatural presence on screen, but it would also help him immensely off-screen, as Sting would be able to impart a wealth of wrestling knowledge onto the young star. It really seems like both the simplest and the safest option going forward.
