It can often be overlooked how great Triple H is.

His feud with Batista was great, particularly the build. Say what you want about the match, but it's hard to deny that The Game knows how to craft a story in the ring. Looking at how Triple H should make his return, there is only one suitable way for this. He heads down to the Black and Gold Brand.

The storytelling in NXT is sublime, and head honcho Triple H deserves some credit for that. There are numerous wrestlers down in NXT who could call out Triple H for One Last Match. Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Finn Balor even Karrion Cross could all benefit from ending the in-ring career of Triple H.

Adam Cole has to be the man to do it. His parallels with both Triple H and Shawn Michaels means there is a lot of meat to this story. Adam Cole could call out Hunter and maybe even lean into the more "shoot" style of promo, giving this an incredibly realistic tone.

This could all then culminate at a TakeOver, with Triple H passing the torch to the younger guy. If NXT is about building the future stars of WWE, this could be a great way to get them over.
