Before Daniel Bryan had officially retired - when he was first looking to get out of his WWE contract and wrestle elsewhere - he cited interest in competing for NJPW and lucha libre organization CMLL. As a free agent, he would be able to pursue both of those dreams.

If Bryan were to go to CMLL, there'd be no higher-profile match for him than a bout with Atlantis. The legendary lucha superstar may be 54 years old, but he's like The Undertaker - a larger-than-life presence who can still compete at a high level. He's also undefeated in matches in which he's put his mask on the line.

The perfect CMLL bout for Bryan would see the former WWE Champion headline a major show - maybe even the company's Anniversary Show - against Atlantis, putting his hair on the line against the lucha legend's mask.
