That monochrome colour palette was a teenager's dream in 1996. The world was changing; antiheroes were now viewed as cool, hip icons who could defend the thirst for rebellion, and the nWo were the ultimate proponents of outlaw behaviour. The gimmick single-handedly reinvented Hulk Hogan as well.

He, along with incoming hooligans Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, turned the previously-cartoonish fortunes of WCW upside down. Before there was a Wolfpac, and before there was a B-squad littered with lower-card losers, there was Hollywood Hogan and the smartly-named Outsiders. As a trio, they were the sh*t hot adrenaline shot 'Dubya-C-Dubya' didn't know it craved.

There may never be a cooler gang. The New World Order had bad-assery in spades, incorporated street culture ("4 Lyfe", the spray paint and their "Too Sweet" hand gesture, for example) and totally changed the face of wrestling in North America forever.
