Where: Larry King Live Date: January 2009 If theres one thing a person can do to draw massive heat, its to pick on the elderly. It worked when Randy Orton was selling his Legend Killer gimmick, and it worked when Chris Jericho started randomly beating up WWE Legends like Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Roddy Piper, and Jimmy Snuka in 2009. In the run up to WrestleMania XXV, Mickey Rourke appeared on the Larry King show to promote The Wrestler, for which he had been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor. But King also booked Jericho on the same show, and Y2J used the platform to challenge Rourke's toughness and credibility. No one let Rourke in on the plan. He was caught completely off guard by the worked shoot, and acted accordingly. At the time, there was speculation that the two of them would eventually square off, to but a singles match was squashed by Rourke's representatives. At Wrestlemania, however, Rourke finally followed through by jumping into the ring and knocking Jericho flat on his ass after much taunting by the Ayatollah of Rock and Roller.
